Item Description

Tempered glass printing surface, coated with carbon film, for the genuine Ender-5 Plus printer.

The Carborundum 377x370 Glass is a tempered glass plate with a carborundum coating, designed for 3D printers like the Ender-5 Plus. This glass plate offers excellent adhesion during printing, which decreases as the bed cools, making it easier to remove the finished print without damage.

Dimensions: 377x370x4mm

Attachment: The Ultrabase can usually be secured to the printer's heated bed using clips or adhesive. Make sure your printer's bed can accommodate this setup.

Bed Leveling: Some printers with advanced leveling systems (like mesh bed leveling) might require additional calibration when using the Ultrabase.

To get the most out of your Ultrabase (Carbon Glass), here are some best practices:
  • Bed Leveling: Ensure the bed is properly leveled before every print. A well-leveled bed is crucial for good adhesion and print quality.
  • Clean the Surface: Regularly clean the Ultrabase with isopropyl alcohol or warm soapy water to remove any residue or oils that might affect adhesion.
  • Temperature Settings: Use the recommended bed temperature for your filament type. For example:
  1. PLA: 50-70 ℃
  2. PP: 100-120 ℃
  3. ABS: 90-120 ℃
  4. TPU: 50-70 ℃
  5. PC: 100-120 ℃
  6. NYLON: 90-120 ℃
  7. PETG: 50-70 ℃"
  • Avoid Adhesion Promoters: The Ultrabase is designed to provide excellent adhesion on its own, so additional adhesives like glue sticks or hairspray are usually unnecessary.
  • Cooling Down: Allow the bed to cool completely before removing prints. The Ultrabase's surface contracts slightly as it cools, making it easier to detach prints without damaging them.
  • Handle with Care: Avoid using sharp tools to remove prints, as they can scratch the surface. Use a plastic scraper if needed.
  • Check for Wear: Over time, the coating may wear down. If you notice reduced adhesion, it might be time to replace the Ultrabase.
