Due to its exceptional appearance, Silk filament is the most popular for the manufacture of decorative pieces. When printing with Silk
filament, the final piece has a shiny, satin finish, which is not only
apparently aesthetic, but also makes the transition between layers
almost imperceptible.
PLA SILK has been improved with added polymers that give the material its high level of light dispersion and reflection, to achieve the silky surface finish that defines this filament. Based on PLA as the main material, it maintains the properties and advantages of standard PLA (easy modeling, absence of warping and low shrinkage) and even surpasses it in some aspects since it has greater mechanical and thermal resistance than PLA.
