The specific qualities of
ABS filament include high temperature resistance and greater rigidity when printed at high temperatures, characteristics that are reinforced when using a
nozzle of 0.6 or greater, for example
Nozzle MK8 -Filament 1.75 - 0.6mm (narrow) or
Nozzle for e3D - Filament 1.75mm - 0.6mm. During printing, the table must be heated to +/- 100ºC to prevent the piece from coming loose from the table.
An indisputable advantage is that ABS retains its properties when exposed to temperatures of up to -40 ° C.
Main Features:- high strength and rigidity while maintaining dimensional accuracy;
- matte outer surface;
- temperature resistance (+/-90ºC);
- low water absorption;
- Easy processing and post-treatment (grinding, drilling, sawing, sanding).
Applications:- manufacturing of all types of items subject to external temperature and exposure;
- possibility of mechanical treatments, allowing the production of parts for installations;
- end-use parts;
- industrial design;
- tools;
- custom components.
Packaging
The filament is wound on a narrow spool measuring 20 cm in diameter and 8 cm thick. Each spool contains information about the material type, diameter and recommended printing temperature. The filament is vacuum packed with a silica bag.
Features:- Diameter: 1.75mm
- Tolerance: ±0.05mm
- Printing temperature (nozzle): 230º-255º
- Heated table (bed): 85 - 100ºC
- Total weight: +/- 1400g
Care to be taken
Any ABS material can be toxic if heated to high temperatures. ABS is a material that, in the event of temperature variation or air current, can come off the printing table or warp. During the printing process, you must ensure that no people or animals remain in the area. It must not be in contact with food.
