Color Information:
Fluorescent pink that glows in the dark in pink or salmon color. To glow in the dark, it needs to absorb light first, and the place must be quite dark. For example, you can place it near a lamp, and after turning off the light, you will be able to observe the effect! The intensity of the luminescence depends on the base color.
This dye is not recommended for contact with food.
Description:
Thermoplastic polyurethane with a
hardness of 98 Shore A. A technical semi-flexible filament that offers
great mechanical properties such as high tear and tensile strength.
It is characterized by highly reversible deformation, resistance to
ozone, oils, greases, and aliphatic alcohols. Wear resistance guarantees
the durability of 3D printed products.
Great for printing continually
sliding parts or sealings.
Characteristics of TPU 98A Filament
- Hardness | Shore 98A
- Medium elasticity
- Odorless
- Strong
- UV resistant
TPU
filaments are characterized by their great adhesion to the printing
surface, are odorless, and resistant to certain types of solvents and
fuels.
Printing Parameters for TPU Flexible Filament*:
- Printing temperature: 200-230°C (212°C recommended)
- Bed temperature: 0-60°C
- Retraction distance: 3.5-3.9mm
- Retraction speed: 40mm/s
- Z-HOP: 0 - 0.08mm
- Layer height: 0.1-0.25mm
- Speed: <= 75 mm/s between 30 to 40mm/s
- Deformation temperature: 138°C
*The default slicer settings for TPU 95A also work very well for TPU 98A.
Precautions:
- TPU
tends to absorb moisture, so it may be necessary to dehydrate the
filament with a dehydrator if the filament shows signs of bubbling.
- Attention
PEI Surface Users! Before starting to print with Flex on a PEI surface,
apply a layer of hairspray or stick to protect the printing surface. If
TPU is printed directly on a PEI surface without any intermediate
layer, the print may fuse with the PEI film and get damaged.
- Printing
TPU 98A filament requires different guidelines than rigid filaments.
Therefore, the 3D printer must be properly configured. For proper
operation, we recommend printing on direct extrusion 3D printers at
75mm/s.
- Increase the flow if the filament extrusion is
intermittent, between 105% - 115%, and reduce the spring pressure (if
any) of the lever that presses the filament on the motor pulley to avoid
strangling the filament and causing clogs.
- The recommended extruder models are the Green and Blue ones. The Red model is not recommended, however, it is still possible to print with TPU with little retraction and at low speeds.
