The RUMBA is an electronic board that combines the functionality of an Arduino with a RAMPS, but with the advantage of utilizing almost all the pins of an Arduino Mega 2560. This allows for an extra space for a driver, which can be used for an additional motor, whether for an extra color, a Z or X axis, up to a maximum of 6 motor outputs.
Methods to increase the capacity of this board:
- Using a Raspberry Pi, it is possible to install Klipper on the RUMBA, making the project faster.
- With the board operating at 12V and an external MOSFET powered at 24V, the bed heats up quickly.
